What is a brushless DC motor?

Brushless DC motors are widely used in various industries, households, transportation, and information equipment, etc., as long as they are "moving" electrical appliances: electric fans, compressors, electric drills, pumps. The motor is evidently an indispensable moving component in a progressive society. Due to the vast market demand, various motor design, manufacturing and control technologies are experiencing a rapid surge. In recent years, due to the advancement of electrical, electronic and microcomputer technology, a further development has been brought to light in motor control technology!
Here is a brief introduction to the DC brushless motor.

※Structure, principle

The so-called "brushless motor" means that the speed of the motor is controlled based on close-loop control;
the ON/OFF status of the transistors of the loop is switched according to the signals detected by the Hall IC of the sensor located at the rotor of the motor (magnetic detector).
This is how the motor is operated. The brushless motor improves the shortcomings of the brush DC motor;
the mechanical joints of the carbon brush and the commutator have been changed to electrical processing of the loop,
which does not need repair; thus, the motor is called a "brushless" DC motor.

※Main features of the brushless motor:

1.No mechanical brush or rectifier
2.Long service life
3.No mechanical noise (except the bearing part)
4.No carbon dirt such as carbon powder or oil for brush parts
5.No electrical noise or electric wave interference
6.No spark
7.Available for high-speed rotating motors
8.Easy for manufacturing of multi-pole motors
9.Large forward and reverse torque
10.Motor characteristics are the same as general DC motors
11.Able to manufacture motors with stable torque and speed
12.A driving circuit is required
13.The motor characteristics can be improved by the controller

※Efficiency comparison

The rotor of the brushless motor uses a permanent magnet, which can reduce secondary loss, losses of the commutator and electric brush, and voltage drop loss of the electric brush of the brush motor.
※Service life comparison
The service life of brushless motors mainly depends on the bearings; the brush commutator of brush motors is a part that wears.

※In what kind of environments can the product be used?

   Need high water-proof & dust-proof IP level.
   High safety performance
   High service life and high multiple of activation torque

※Recommended industries

   Electric tools
   Biological medical care
   Household appliances
   Office automation equipment
